Short version: the clock does not collect anything about you. Everything you enter stays on your phone. If you buy something, the payment company tells us who paid so we can help you.
Your name, a loved one's name, city, motto, faith, birthday and personal dates, identity rings, calendar choices, saved looks, learned fidels, coordinates used for prayer times, and every style and motion setting. These are stored in the app's local storage on your phone. We never receive them, and there is no account to create.
1. "On this day" history (the ዛሬ Today card) requests the public Wikipedia "On this day" feed for the current date, and shows only the items about Ethiopia or Eritrea. The request contains the date and a language code. It contains nothing about you. Stay offline and the rest of the app still works.
2. The website. The clock and this site are served by GitLab Pages. Like any web host, it handles technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages. We do not add analytics, ads or trackers.
On this website, card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe shares with us the name and email address you enter at checkout and the payment status, which we use only to provide what you bought, answer your questions and keep the records the law requires. Your Pro or licence code is shown on the page right after payment; we do not link it to anything on your phone.
In the App Store or Google Play (when available), the transaction is handled by Apple or Google and our purchase provider (RevenueCat). We receive an anonymous purchase receipt so the app can unlock Pro.
If you switch on prayer times, the app asks for your coordinates and computes the times on the phone. The coordinates are stored locally and are never sent anywhere.
Reminders are scheduled on your phone from data on the device. No server is involved.
The clock collects no data and is suitable for all ages.
Deleting the app, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes everything. "Reset" in the app clears all settings. "Backup all" exports your data as a file you keep; "Export formation" shares only the look, never anything personal. To ask about purchase records we hold, write to us.
Updates to this policy will appear on this page with a new date.
